Video Matic Lantern — a projector mounted on one end and a hemispheric mirror on the other, with the projection corrected to undistort the image onto a cylindrical screen. The screen was made by weaving wax paper together and fusing it with an iron. Suspended above the dance floor on steel cables. Below: screen captures of the projection-correction software.

Halftone treatments of the Venus of Willendorf and a hand-drawn Three of Cups tarot card, all projected through old slide projectors. The Video Matic Lantern (above) also showed at Magic earlier that year — no photos survive from that night.
portal, chabot space and science center, oakland, march 2015
Portal Portal — a 3D scene for Oculus Rift (still in beta at the time), incorporating live stereoscopic video of the event. I walked around with my laptop in a bag and the Oculus glasses and offered people to see the "Porta-Portal". The reproduced version uses a scene of Times Square as the portal destination.
