A participatory performance involving mock security checkpoints, foot-washing, shoe-shining, and a bureaucratic loop where audiences are promised a viewing of a mysterious object behind a curtain that never materializes. Part of Micromanagement, an evening of 16 performative artworks curated by Sean Fletcher and Isabel Reichert.

ship of fools — limbo, 2010–2017
A participatory video project referencing Hieronymus Bosch's painting and Sebastian Brant's satirical book. Participants identified their own "foolish" qualities — those aspects creating personal stagnation — and expressed them on camera while positioned waist-down for anonymity.

sarah gray research headquarters, krowswork gallery, oakland, 2012
A fictional science lab where collaborators performed as scientists-in-residence conducting experiments while gallery visitors observed and participated. I performed as Hans Jenny and built a cymatics demonstration — pairs of visitors each controlled the frequency of an audio tone, and the combined vibrations formed patterns in lycopodium powder on a vibrating plate. The device self-destructed during the event and I spent most of the time trying to fix it while explaining the ridiculous theory to the audience.

An interactive installation of a fictitious water company — uniformed experts guided customers through personalized water concoctions mapped to chakras. The app below was used to help customers choose their mixture. I participated in the first performance at Adobe Books.

A performance investigating text in different contexts — reading "You Sexy Thing (I Believe In Miracles)" by Errol Brown, generating new meanings through changes in tonality, delivery, and aesthetics.
